In collaboration with the Aspen Institute’s Global Alliances Program, Special Representative for Global Partnerships Andrew O’Brien will travel to Burma April 29-May 2 with a Partnership Opportunity Delegation (POD). This is the second in a series of PODs traveling around the world following the success of the first POD, which traveled to Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The Partnership Opportunity Delegation will travel to Rangoon, Naypyidaw, and Mandalay to meet with government officials, private sector leaders, entrepreneurs, and representatives from civil society. The delegation includes impact investors, philanthropists, business leaders, and social entrepreneurs who will examine and promote emerging opportunities to support local development, create global market linkages, and further social impact.

Partnership Opportunity Delegations are an initiative of the Secretary’s Office of Global Partnerships at the U.S. Department of State, designed to find solutions to global challenges through facilitating public-private connections. For more information, click here.
