Brief Description of call: The call will discuss opportunities in petrochemical greenfield projects in the magnitude of $300M-$1BN, along with value-adding projects for steel, copper, and aluminum. Guest speakers from Takamul Investment Company (the industrial downstream arm of the Omani Government’s main energy-related investment vehicle) will share plans for major upcoming projects. Takamul is particularly interested in seeking American partners for developing Polypropylene, Methanol, Benzene and other petrochemical downstream projects, along with Steel, Copper, and Aluminum value-adding projects. While Takamul’s focus is on local joint ventures, the company can invest outside Oman if an opportunity directly complements a project in Oman. Beyond investment partnerships, cooperation with Takamul can include selling equipment, technology, and consulting and engineering services.
