2 Pursuant to Sections 4 and 6 of the Taiwan Relations Act, P.L. 96-8, 93 Stat. 14, and Executive Order 13014, 61 F.R. 42963, any international agreement entered into by the United States and the governing authorities on Taiwan prior to January 1, 1979, and in force between them on December 31, 1978, is administered on a nongovernmental basis by the American Institute in Taiwan, a nonprofit District of Columbia corporation, until the agreement’s termination.
