Date: 09/15/2013 Description: Hispanic Heritage Month 2013: Wilma Bodden-Raffucci - State Dept Image Wilma M Bodden-Raffucci is a passport specialist at the National Passport Center (Portsmouth, New Hampshire). She joined the Department of State in September 2012.

Before joining the government, Wilma worked at the National Visa Center as a contractor where she served as visa processing specialist and fraud prevention assistant. After three years working as a contractor, she started in the Pathways Program as a passport specialist.

Wilma was born in Puerto Rico. Her family moved from Puerto Rico to the Dominican Republic for two years, then returned to Puerto Rico where she completed her education. In 2008, she decided to move to Portsmouth, New Hampshire to pursue new opportunities.

Working as a contractor, motivated Wilma to pursue a career within the Department of State, in the Bureau of Consular Affairs. Starting as a Pathways student is giving her the opportunity to learn more about the State Department and pursue a career in federal service.

Wilma earned a bachelor's degree of business administration from the University of Puerto Rico and is currently pursuing a master's degree of business administration from the University of Turabo. Spanish and English are her first languages and she started recently to learn Portuguese for personal development.
