Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Tara D. Sonenshine will travel to Doha, Qatar on June 9-10 to deliver remarks at the 10th annual U.S.-Islamic World Forum. This forum is jointly hosted by the Brookings Project on U.S. Relations with the Islamic World, and the State of Qatar. This year’s forum is entitled “A Decade of Dialogue,” and will include discussions on the transitions in Afghanistan and Pakistan, conflict in Syria, the economic challenges within emerging democracies, and the role of the arts and the media in societies in conflict and in the evolution of Arab identity.
