Israel - Administrative Detention (Taken Question)

Question: Has the United States had any talks with the Israeli’s regarding Hassan Karajah, an activist with Stop the Wall, who was detained on January 23?

Answer: We have not had specific conversations about Hassan Karajah with the Government of Israel. We have discussed the issue of administrative detention with our Israeli counterparts and note that our annual Country Report on Human Rights Practices addresses the issue of administrative detention in Israeli prisons.
