Brief description of call: The Brazilian Government is planning major upgrades to its port sector and is seeking an estimated US$26 billion in private investments over the next four years to accomplish this goal. It will require US$1.8 billion worth of dredging projects in the next ten years. This webinar will begin with a brief presentation from the Brazilian Secretariat of Ports outlining the government’s plan to auction concessions to manage multiple public terminals to the private sector as well as concessions to build and manage new terminals. The presentation will also provide an explanation of Brazil’s dredging needs and an overview of other opportunities available for service and equipment providers in the ports sector. Existing and potential terminal operators, dredge manufacturers, and port-related equipment and service providers are strongly encouraged to join us for this webinar.
