"U.S. Counterterrorism Efforts"

On Wednesday, October 3, Marc Norman, Director for Africa, Europe and the Americas, in the Bureau of Counterterrorism, spoke on “U.S. Counterterrorism Efforts,” as part of the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Policy Classroom. Mr. Norman’s remarks and responses to students’ questions touched upon a range of topics from the changes in inter-agency efforts on counterterrorism since 9/11, to the Department’s development programs implemented to combat terrorism.

The audience consisted of approximately 135 students from a variety of universities, including Boston College, Cabrini College, Morgan State University, Texas Tech University and the University of Iowa. Mr. Norman was introduced by Jon Tollestrup, a Public Affairs Office in the Bureau of Public Affairs.
