Special Representative for Global Partnerships Kris Balderston will travel to Guatemala City July 30, 2012. He will lead a Clean Cookstoves Delegation of high-level representatives from government, private sector, and non-governmental organizations along with Director of U.S. Cookstoves Initiatives Jacob Moss, and the Senior Director for Strategic Partnerships at the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves Leslie Cordes.

The delegation will meet with Guatemalan counterparts discuss new opportunities for cooperation around the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves. The delegation will help install cookstoves in a rural village along with Helps International, visit a Peace Corps site where cookstoves are being built for local families, and speak with women and community leaders about the impact of clean and efficient cookstoves.

Special Representative Balderston and Moss will close the delegation with a media roundtable at the Guatemala City Airport on Wednesday, August 1 at 11 a.m. to discuss the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves.
