Brief description of call: This teleconference call will focus on opportunities for U.S. businesses in Indonesia. Indonesia is the world's fourth largest country by population, experiencing a rapidly growing middle class among its 240 million people. The country’s economic outlook continues to be positive, with GDP growth topping six percent and an increasing sense of optimism and confidence among the Indonesian public. Significant commercial opportunities exist for U.S. firms, particularly in market sectors for consumer goods, energy, health care, and all forms of infrastructure. In this call, U.S. Ambassador to Indonesia Scot A. Marciel will offer an economic overview of Indonesia, including the current investment climate, and his perspective on the opportunities and challenges of entering and operating in the Indonesian market. Participants will also have the opportunity to pose questions directly to Ambassador Marciel during the Q&A portion of the call.
