On Tuesday, May 8th, at 4:30 p.m., the Department of State will host the second meeting of the U.S.-Polish Democracy Dialogue. Dr. Tomicah Tillemann, Senior Advisor to the Secretary for Civil Society and Emerging Democracies, and Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Jerzy Pomianowski will co-chair the meeting.

The Democracy Dialogue provides representatives from the U.S. Polish governments and civil society with a platform for expanding democracy promotion efforts. This year’s Dialogue focuses particularly on Eastern Europe and North Africa.

Briefing Focus: Outcomes of the day’s sessions at the bi-lateral U.S. Polish Democracy Dialogue.

Media must be in position at 23rd street entrance at 4:15 p.m. Equipment will be scanned and press will be escorted to the briefing room.

Media representatives may attend upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. government-issued identification card, (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver’s license or passport).
