Question: Why didn’t Deputy Secretary Burns meet with Egypt's Islamist Salafis while in Cairo?

Answer: Deputy Secretary Burns met with a range of political leaders. He did not have time to meet with every political party, but our Embassy is in contact regularly with a wide range of political leaders in Egypt, including members of the Al Nour party.
