Question Taken at the November 29, 2011 Daily Press Briefing
November 30, 2011

Question: Has the U.S. stopped arms sales to Pakistan or is the selling of arms to Pakistan under review?

Answer: We have not suspended arms sales to Pakistan. As we do with all countries, pursuant to the Arms Export Control Act, the Department reviews all requests for international arms transfers, and considers a number of factors to include regional security and policy concerns prior to making a decision on whether to proceed.
