The Bosnia and Herzegovina flag is a wide medium blue vertical band on the fly side with a yellow isosceles triangle abutting the band and the top of the flag; the remainder of the flag is medium blue with seven full five-pointed white stars and two half stars top and bottom along the hypotenuse of the triangle.

ASSISTANCE GOALS: The overriding U.S. Government (USG) interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina remains its emergence as a stable, democratic, multiethnic state on the road to Euro-Atlantic integration. To ensure the stability of the region, it is important that Bosnia and Herzegovina develop cooperative relationships with its neighbors, successfully combat crime, consolidate democratic institutions, build a society based on mutual tolerance and understanding, and achieve sustainable economic growth.
