Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, Janice L. Jacobs, will travel to Denver, Colorado on September 21-22 to mark the fifth anniversary of the Colorado Passport Agency. She will address guests at a passport agency open house on September 22. Invitees include representatives from local Congressional offices, members of the Federal Executive Board, and members of the local Consular Corps. The Colorado Passport Agency offers expedited issuance of U.S. passports to customers who are traveling within 14 days in Denver and the surrounding region.

While in Denver, Assistant Secretary Jacobs will also meet with representatives of the Colorado Department of Human Services to discuss current inter-country adoption issues. She will also deliver remarks to students and faculty at the University of Denver about the importance of international exchanges, careers in the Foreign Service, and the mission of the Bureau of Consular Affairs.
