Special Envoy to Sudan Scott Gration will brief at the opening of the September 15 daily press briefing about his recent meetings in Juba and Khartoum, where he laid out a path forward of what the United States expects both parties, North and South, to do over the next 18 months to complete implementation of the CPA and improve conditions in Darfur. The briefing will begin at 1:15 pm in the State Department’s press briefing room, followed by the daily press briefing.

This event is open to the press.

Press should use the 23rd Street entrance to the State Department and must be processed through security by 12:50 p.m.
Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification card (driver's license, passport).
