Question: Did Ambassador Hugo Llorens ever meet with Otto Reich, John Negroponte or Robert Carmona-Borjas before, during or after last year’s coup?
Answer: The Ambassador and other Embassy officers met with Otto Reich on March 4, 2010. Ambassador Llorens and former President Zelaya met with John Negroponte, when he was Deputy Secretary of State, on September 26, 2008 during President Zelaya’s trip to Washington to meet with U.S. Government officials. A large number of other U.S. and Honduran officials attended that meeting. Ambassador Llorens has never met with Robert Carmona-Borjas.
