Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver remarks at the Department of State and Council of the Americas 40th Washington Conference on the Americas at 9:20 a.m. on May 12, 2010. Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Arturo Valenzuela will deliver remarks immediately following Secretary Clinton.

Senior representatives of numerous American countries, as well as the Organization of American States, will also speak at the conference. The full schedule of speakers can be found here.

The morning session at which Secretary Clinton will speak is open to credentialed members of the media at the Department of State.

Pre-set time for cameras: 7:45 a.m. from the 23rd Street entrance.
Final access time for journalists and still photographers: 8:30 a.m. from the 23rd Street entrance.

A luncheon and an afternoon session will also be open to credentialed members of the media at the Department of State.

Lunch Session access time for all press: 12:30 p.m. from the Loy Henderson Auditorium press area.

Afternoon Session pre-set time for cameras: 1:30 p.m. from the 23rd Street entrance.
Afternoon Session final access time for journalists and still photographers: 2:15 p.m. from the 23rd Street entrance.
