SECRETARY CLINTON: Well, I am very happy to welcome again the foreign minister from Egypt along with his delegation. I’m looking forward to a very thorough and comprehensive discussion about the issues that we are facing together in this new year. Welcome.
FOREIGN MINISTER GHEIT: Thank you very much, Secretary. Thank you very much.
SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you all very much.
QUESTION: Mr. Prime Minister, what kind of guarantees are you looking for from the U.S. for talks? Just one question, please. We want to hear your voice. You’ve come all this way.
FOREIGN MINISTER GHEIT: Well, we are coming to try to regenerate enough energy and to create enough momentum for a peace effort. And it is crucial that we will do it and we will succeed, and we would bring the parties on the proper basis. Thank you.
