U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will announce a new program to implement Department-wide environmentally responsible policies at the Department of State on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22 at 2:30 p.m. Brief remarks will also be given by White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Nancy Sutley, Under Secretary for Management Patrick Kennedy, and Special Envoy for Climate Change Todd Stern. This open press event will take place in the Dean Acheson Auditorium of the Department of State. The invited audience will include foreign diplomats and United States government personnel.

Camera Pre-set time: 1:45 p.m.
Final access time for all press: 2:00 p.m.
(Please note: all cameras must be set-up in the room by 2:00 p.m.)
Media representatives planning must present one of the following: (1) a U.S. Government-issued media identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center), (2) a media-issued photo identification card, or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
