Q: Is the State Department in touch with Spain concerning the possible case against former Bush Administration officials for allegations of torture at Guantanamo? (The President noted that “his team” was in touch with Spain). If so, please provide details.

A: There have been discussions between the Department and the Spanish Embassy in Washington and between our Embassy in Madrid and the Spanish government.
