The Global Entrepreneurship Program recently partnered with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) to grant GEP partners access to the Enterprise Development Network (EDN) search engine. The EDN is an online platform that connects partners, business services providers, and embassies to promote entrepreneurship. The EDN fills the gap in the global effort to strengthen developing economies by providing instant access to information, tools, and experienced professional assistance, as well as the capital necessary for success. E-Mentor Corps

E-Mentor Corps is a Web-based platform to match mentors in the U.S. business community with aspiring entrepreneurs from developing countries around the world. During his speech in Cairo, President Obama emphasized strengthening ties on issues like entrepreneurship and connecting people in the United States with people around the world, including through online platforms. On April 27, 2010, at the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship, the structure of the E-Mentor Corps was outlined to fulfill these objectives. Sign up to become an E-mentor Corps supporter or entrepreneur.

Global Entrepreneurship Toolkit

The Entrepreneurship Toolkit, developed jointly by USAID’s Business Growth Initiative and the GEP, is intended to provide users with information on entrepreneurship best practices, case studies and lessons learned, key questions for program design, links to development partners, as well as additional publications and reference materials.

Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EiRs)

Under the GEP, an essential factor for success are the dedicated, full time, on the ground individuals that manage and expand GEP partnerships and act as role model entrepreneurs. These Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EiRs) serve as GEP points of contact coordinating in-country activity-- currently in Egypt, Turkey, and Indonesia.
