On May 10, 2010, the State Department hosted a conference in Washington, D.C. to highlight tech efforts at work in building back Haiti better following the devastating earthquake on January 12, 2010. Members of the private sector, NGOs, academia, Haitian Diaspora and public sector will demonstrate and discuss their innovations in Haiti. Presenter biographies»

- Mobile-granting/banking;
- Resource allocation; and
- Distance education.
