The Family Liaison Office (FLO) has a contract with behavioral health care provider MHN (a Health Net Company) to provide support services to employees and their families before, during, and after unaccompanied tours (UT), while on evacuations, and during difficult situations arising from life at dangerous posts.

All employees and their family members living and/or working under these conditions are eligible to take advantage of:

A customized web portal (available in English and Spanish) with articles on a variety of emotional health topics, including coping with separation, maintaining bonds with children, and communicating at a distance.
Online training sessions held throughout the year for employees and their families on stress management, effective communication practices, and more.
Licensed clinicians at the MHN call center for 24/7 assessments, referrals, and emergency consultations for those who are separated by service at an unaccompanied post. This service is available in over 160 languages.
Confidential, limited face-to-face clinical consultations available to EFMs and MOHs throughout the United States. There are no co-payments, deductibles, or co-insurance payments. (Note: Only Department of State employees and their family members are eligible for face-to-face consultations.)
